A relaxing picnic with stunning views and an optional guided walk through the beech woods along the top of the Cotswold Escarpment.

Come early if you want to join the ramble through the woods at 10:30 which will finish at the picnic site at noon.

Bring friends, well behaved dogs, kites, ball games, seating, warm coat or jumper (especially if windy), food, drink, sketch book, binoculars, bird and wild flower identification books and definitely cameras.
The car park is right on the edge of the huge meadow, so you won’t have to walk very far unless you want to. There are some wooden picnic benches. However, it is a very popular so come early to guarantee a parking space.
Woody Walk details - start at 10:30 am
This walk takes us through mature beech woods along the Cotswold escarpment returning to Coaly picnic site by the same route (6-8km). After rain the footpaths will be muddy and slippery in places, so appropriate footwear is recommended. Bring a drink and a snack
